Privacy Policy

Welcome to Degenchi ("we", "our", or "us"). Degenchi is a virtual pet game where you look after eight cartoon critters. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use our mobile application (the "App"). The short version: your save file lives on your device, there are no accounts, and the only information that leaves your phone is what Apple needs to process a purchase.

We do not collect any personal information.

• We do not require you to create an account
• We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact information
• We do not collect or ever see your payment information
• We do not track your location
• We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies
• We do not use advertising identifiers and we do not serve ads
• We do not collect usage analytics

Everything you create in Degenchi, including which pets you have adopted, their stats, your Degen Bucks balance, your unlocked skins, your daily challenge progress and your streak, is stored locally on your device in the App's private storage. We have no access to it and it is never sent to us. The game works fully offline.

If you delete the App, that data is removed from your device along with it. There is no cloud backup and no way for us to restore a lost save.

Degenchi offers optional in-app purchases of Degen Bucks, the in-game currency. If you choose to buy some, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card details, billing address, or Apple ID.

To confirm that a purchase actually completed, and to make sure you receive what you paid for, the App uses RevenueCat, a purchase validation service. RevenueCat receives the Apple receipt for the purchase and a randomly generated identifier for your install. That identifier is not linked to your name, your email, or any other app on your device.

Apple also provides us with anonymous, aggregated sales reporting. That reporting shows totals and trends, never individual buyers.

This version of Degenchi contains no advertising, no ad networks, and no advertising identifiers. If that ever changes in a future version, this policy will be updated before that version is released.

Degenchi is intended for adults and is rated accordingly. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since the App collects no personal information from anyone at all, there is nothing for us to hold or delete.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
